My name is Bibi-Karlijn, and designing and implementing solid offboarding policies gives me more fulfillment than I ever could have imagined.
I unintentionally found myself founding the Offboarding Academy (my offboarding training center) and EXIRE (my HR-TECH SaaS offboarding solution start-up).
During and after my studies (Bachelors in HRM and Masters in Change Management)
I was active in sales and recruitment. Over the last six years I’ve worked as an interim recruitment business partner and had the privilege of working for some of the largest corporations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
In all these roles, there were always two recurring challenges when it came to attracting talent: poor employer branding and a lack of —or completely missing—insights into why employees choose to leave. When an organization’s reputation takes a hit, it can take years to repair. It’s also incredibly difficult when employees voluntarily leave the company, but you don’t know why.
This sparked my fascination with the HR theme of offboarding.
My goal is to help as much companies as can by creating a strong, human and automated offboarding program —so we can, together, prevent unwanted offboarding. And if departure is unavoidable, we can ensure it’s handled in the right way, allowing organizational values to remain tangible up to the very last working day—and even beyond.
